The “Bachelor” star was a man who would take risks and go to the gym every day, according to the “Bachelorette” contestant who’s now dating a professional athlete.
During an interview with “Good Morning America” on Wednesday, “Barry” star Ashley Graham said that she was a “follower” of the fitness model, who was dating ex-Stonewall star Joe Paterno, who retired in 2011.
“I would go out and train with her,” Graham told GMA.
“I would come home and she would go to work out with me, and she’d be like, ‘I’m going to the store, I’ll be home by 9.’
I would say, ‘That’s great.’
And then we’d go out for dinner, and we’d have dinner, I would just be like ‘I love you,’ and I’d go for a walk and we would get back together.”
Graham said that Paterna is the type of man who will take risks, but she added that “everybody” is different.
“Everybody has to have their own way,” Graham said.
“Everybody has their own mindset, their own thing.
I’ve never been one of those guys who’s like, you know, I’m going, ‘Oh, I don’t have time for this,’ and then I go do something that I love to do.
I’m like, I want to be like that.
But I think there’s something in that that is special.”
The Bachelor” alum said she was impressed by the way Paterni and Graham were able to connect and have a meaningful relationship.”
I was like ‘That sucks.’ “
It’s like when I met Joe Paterson, he was like, He just said that he would never want to see me again.
I was like ‘That sucks.’
And I said, ‘He’s a god.’
It was just like, it was like we just got back together and I’m just like ‘Wow.'”
Graham and Paternos marriage was recently renewed, with “Bait” actor Mark Strong taking the lead for the series finale.
